Zscaler Safesearch Youtube. we have users utilizing zia and when attempting to view youtube videos they are met with a restricted mode notification. we are onboarding zia at this time and a strange behavior has been reported by one of my users. when i've looked at this before, i came across some information relating to some ad server/url being blocked which causes youtube to force it, but didn't have. They like to enable dark mode. how have you all dealt with youtube restricted mode (for staysafeonline videos no less)? it turns out the ‘enforce safesearch’ option in url & cloud app control blocks access to youtube live streams, due to restricted. we have enforce safesearch enabled and it is intentionally causing youtube to be forced into restricted mode. Has it blocked training for you?. You can use a custom url to allow based. we’re finding that since forcing google safesearch on, that youtube is defaulting to restricted mode. you may want to allow access to certain youtube channels while blocking the rest.
